You will need to purchase an international ticket. You can do so through travel agents, websites, etc. We do not recommend any particular travel agent because often times websites provide the best deals.
Most Asian countries (including India, Nepal, Bhutan, and China (Tibet)) require visas. You will need to arrange this before the program. Visa information regarding the specific countries you will visit will be included in your program description.
We recommend each participant to visit a trained medical professional in order to receive guidance on what is appropriate for the countries we will visit. This can include vaccinations, as well as medication for malaria and other illnesses. And, while we don’t anticipate any illness, we also recommend inquiring about antibiotics as many physicians preemptively prescribe courses of antibiotics, just in case.
Sacred Path highly recommends purchasing travel insurance that includes emergency medical coverage as well as evacuation and repatriation services.

Once You’re There
Each of our group programs, as well as custom itineraries, includes time to adjust to the time difference, but it can be helpful to arrive a day or two early. There are also plenty of optional add-ons that you can include in our group trips should you desire. If you are interested in this, once registered for a program, please contact us and we can help set up details.
Certainly. Have no worries. We are aware of all the top-of-the-line hospitals and physicians in the case of an emergency. Also, for all of our group programs, we have a US-based physician on call to help participants through challenging times.
This depends on the particular program you are participating in. A brief description is available in the specific program page for the trip of interest and details will be outlined in course literature once you are registered. For custom programs, climate information will be included in the program overview.
We stay in safe and comfortable hotels or guest houses throughout the program. Additionally, if your program includes trekking, you will be provided a high-quality tent that will be assembled in cooperation with Sacred Path staff.
You can certainly choose a roommate and we will do our best to pair you together. Singles are available in most locations and we will do our best to fill your needs. Costs for single supplements are listed in individual program pages.
The food provided is healthy, nourishing and generally vegetarian, unless specified in your particular program literature. In addition to three meals, group programs include bottle water and occasional snacks.
